URBAN JUNGLE BLOGGERS 27 > JUNGLE ANIMALS

Animals in the jungle, February it's all about the cohabitation between jungle plants and jungle animals! One bird of my collection was an eager candidate for the job, as we don't have real animals at home.
To tell the truth I tried to portray my sister in law's beautiful cat when I was visiting them last week. I tried to chase him under a beautiful tree palm they grow in the living room, but with not much success. He looked adorable with his orange fur against the green foliage, but the pictures I took were not good I am afraid. Oh well, you can never trick a cat into doing what he does not want to do.

So here you are, a cute bird I bought in Amsterdam works wonder next to a vase I bought in Tuscany some time ago.
In it my Photos called Devil's Ivy is growing very happy. So happy and fast that I do not know how to give it shape anymore. Ideas anyone? I tried to wrap it around something but so far I did not find the right shape for it.

My Aloe you see in the raku ceramics vase it's the first one I did buy and it was not taller than 5 cm then. It is also growing fast. From this mother plant I propagate at least other 10 exemplars. Didn't they look very cute?

You can see here what happened to some of them, if you did not follow earlier.

Whoops! Someone moved birdy in another jungle.

That was me, obviously. I moved it next to a new member of my plants family: a Crassula Ovata. I was given it by a friend of a friend on the first of january this year. I never had such a big exemplar and I love it. Rosy propagated it herself and in return I gave her one of the baby Aloes. That's the beauty of growing plants yourself: you can swop them with friends.

See you next month. Always enjoy your greens at home!
